Family Renewal Shelter - About FRS

Ruth's Story:

I am a victim of domestic violence. I was forced to seek shelter on several occasions due to the fact that my ex-husband continued to look for me after I left him. Family Renewal Shelter helped my three daughters and I to be able to safely move on with our lives while providing many services, as well as encouragement and support throughout our time of need. The services offered to us while residing at the shelter were:

• Food
• Shelter
• Clothing
• Personal hygiene products
• Counseling
• Self defense classes
• Safety planning
• Family activities and a positive family environment
• Access to the internet to look for work and housing
• Referrals to DSHS…as well as to other domestic violence agencies in the community
